Meet the Producer
Bodegas Hispano+Suizas is in the D.O.P. Utiel-Requena, one of the viticultural areas in Spain with the greatest tradition. The winery was built in 1905 and restored in 2009. All the wines are produced from the 61ha of owned vineyards, predominantly around the property. The planted varietals are a mix of indigenous Bobal and international, which includes Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc.
This is the project of three "soul brothers" - Marc Grin, Pablo Ossorio and Rafael Navarro who have always dreamed of growing vines and making wines. The winery is named after their nationalities, cleaver right! Their objective is simple yet ambitious: to make masterpieces, distinctive yet accessible to the consumer. "A good wine, in order not to be out of tune, has to come out of the bottle like a symphony in which each instrument has it's place," they say and you can not argue with that!
Their grapes are all handpicked with each vine yielding very little fruit, just over one bottle per vine, thereby giving fantastic intensity and purity.
