Expressive Cabernet crammed full of varietal character and finesse.
100% Cabernet Sauvignon
|How it's made||
We source our Cabernet fruit from the Colchagua valley which sits in the middle of Chile's main central valley. Colchagua is widely regarded as one of the best locations for red varieties in Chile and many illustrious wineries are based here. The warm, Mediterranean type climate suits Cabernet really well, allowing it to ripped fully, late into the season. These grapes get a cool short fermentation to preserve fruit aromas and maceration on the skins for only a few days to extract a nice color. There are only minimal tannins and no oak is used. Early bottling to keep the wine's youthful style. We love pure, blackcurrant characteristics which are always so present in our Cabernet blend.
Bursting with red and blackcurrant fruits, this is a really soft and pure Cabernet with gentle tannins, along side a hint of green pepper on the finish. Cool herby flavors mingle with red fruits and a nice touch of acidity.
Try with herby roast leg of lamb, char-grilled steak or stuffed baked red peppers.
