Pasión de Bobal Rosado, 2017
Pasion de Bobal is the result of a careful selection of the best grapes collected from our vineyards located in Camporrobles within the D.O.. Utiel-Requena region. A pretty, pale rosé from south-east Spain's indigenous Bobal variety.
|How it's made||
Bobal is grown in loam plaines that are rich in red lcay and Miocene conglomerates. It ripens later than other varieties with young vines often used to make light fruity reds and rosé. Fruit yields are controlled in order to keep the natural ecosystem of the environment and organic practices are also employed, harsh chemicals avoided. Maceration of the grapes at very low temperatures for 16 hours, in which the free run juice is obtained, which will be fermented later at controlled temperatures.
Pale, 'Provence-style' pink in color with fresh strawberry, redcurrant and white flower aromas with a hint of rosé. Nicely balanced with clean, bright acidity, some minerality adding palate weight, red berries and cream on the finish.
A stand alone aperitif or perfect for salmon or chicken salads.
