About the Region
Rueda is in the North West of Spain in the province of Valladolid. Whilst some red and rosé wines are produced it's mainly known for its white wines, produced mainly from Verdejo grapes. The climate is continental meaning hot summers and cold winters. Other permitted grapes that can be used in the white wines are Viura and Sauvignon Blanc whilst the reds tend to be Tempranillo dominant but Cabernet Sauvignon, Garnacha and Merlot are allowed.
