About the Region
Ribera wines underscore the purest expression of Tempranillo, Spain’s most well known grape, and a matter of great pride for the region. Here it’s called “Tinto Fino”: big, bold and textured, but with plenty of rich, old-world sensibility. The region is home to some of Spain’s most sought after and applauded wines. Riberas are crafted to age, developing complexity over time, yet balancing acidity and generous fruit, they’re unequivocally food-friendly wines to drink. The spices, dark fruit and smoky flavors of Ribera enhance anything off the grill, roasted meats, and rich pastas. Traditional methods, handed down from generation to generation for over 100 years and strongly linked to the Tinta del País grape variety, have here found a new way to reach consumers in the form of excellent quality wines made using innovative production techniques and able to satisfy the most demanding palates.
