Opulent, vanilla and cassis fruit packed Syrah
|How it's made||
The grapes were picked in late September. Once pressed and vinified, the wine was then aged for 20 months in French oak barrels (35% new and 65% 2-3 years old) and then bottled in November 2017. (270 cases produced)
Aromas of plum, boysenberry, and blackberry; highlighted with vanilla, earth, and white pepper. The mouth is filled with rich flavors of cassis and black cherry: followed by mineral and cracked black pepper. Ripe tannins provide an opulent finish of fruit and spice.
Serve at room temperature, it would be a perfect match for slow-roasted BBQ pork, or smoked seitan steaks.
