Domaine des Terreaux Bourgogne Chardonnay, 2015
A classic Chardonnay with texture, minerality and length.
|How it's made||
Mostly traditional fermentation but with some of the overall blend being vinified in demi-muids while the remainder is fermented in stainless steel. 10% of the final blend is barrel-aged (French oak) to give the overall blend a more textural and slightly creamy body.
Fine, buttery and floral notes on the nose with substance and finesse on the palate. Some creamy textural notes up front reveal the discreet presence of oak while on the finish there is some underlying minerality and a hint of citrus zestiness that provides long-lasting flavors.
Chicken, either roasted or in a creamy sauce would be perfect, as would a vegetable risotto or pan fried fish.
