Château de Belleverne, St. Amour, Le Cru des Amoureux, 2017
If you love Fleurie you'll love this!
|How it's made||
Vines grown on sileceous clay on gentle slopes facing east going up to the village church in Saint Amour. The grapes are partially destemmed before going into separate vats and are then left to bubble away for 10 days, during which carbonic maceration takes place before going to press. Our Master Blender Samantha Bailey selected three different cuvées for the assemblage, each one bringing a specific character to the blend combining fruit, structure and finesse to the wine.
A wine that offers delicious wild strawberry fruit aromas with berry flavors backed up by a touch of savory liquorice, providing complexity and a lasting finish.
Roast lamb, herby lamb burgers, cold meats and soft cheeses.
