How it's made

The Rhône has always been an area of great value to Boutinot and we now even own our own plots there. Over the past decade we have built enviable relationships with a network of local growers and because of this we were able to source the grapes for Arc du Rhône from three different vineyards. This allows us to blend wine to our standards and to get different attributes in the grapes from different parts of the Rhône valley. The soils were all typical of the Southern Rhône – stony, clay-like and full of pebbles – perfect for achieving better concentration of flavor in the wine.

Tasting Notes

This is full-flavored with notes of rich bramble fruit and a twist of peppery spice. With bottle age this develops leathery, woody complexity.
