Arc du Rhône Châteauneuf-du-Pape, 2015

From the most famous cru in the Southern Rhône - Châteauneuf-du-Pape. We've carefully selected parcels of Grenache Noir, Syrah and Cinsault to produce this ripe, full-flavored wine.

How it's made

The Rhône has always been an area of great value to Boutinot. Over the past decade we have built enviable relationships with a network of local growers and because of this we were able to source the grapes for Arc du Rhône from three different vineyards. The soils were all typical of the Southern Rhône – stony clay-like and full of pebbles – perfect for achieving better concentration of flavor in the wine. This allows us to get different attributes in the grapes from different parts of the Rhône Valley. As such, and depending on the vintage, we may add to the blend of Grenache Noir (with a touch of Syrah) with Carignan Noir or Cinsault to achieve a savory edge.

Tasting Notes

Ripe, full-flavored wine with notes of black cherry and plum laced with the savory-sweet spice of black pepper, tapenade and kirsch.
